Ciara Donlon
CEO & Co-Founder of Moss Linkedin profileCiara Donlon is an award-winning entrepreneur and business leader with close to three decades of experience across corporate strategy, e-commerce, and innovation in healthcare. After earning her degree from Trinity College Dublin, Ciara began her career in the world of banking and digital commerce, holding senior positions in several multinational corporations. Her early success culminated in her role as Head of Online for Vodafone Ireland, where she led initiatives that significantly expanded the company’s digital presence and improved customer engagement.
In 2010, Ciara made the bold decision to transition from the corporate world to entrepreneurship, founding a lingerie business that would mark the beginning of her journey into purpose-driven innovation. Her interactions with breast cancer survivors during this period revealed a significant gap in the market for comfortable, non-toxic underwear designed specifically for women undergoing or recovering from cancer treatment.
This realisation inspired Ciara to launch Theya Healthcare in 2014—one of Ireland’s first Femtech companies dedicated to creating sustainable, skin-friendly post-surgery lingerie made from naturally healing bamboo. Theya Healthcare quickly gained international recognition for its scientific approach to comfort, safety, and body confidence, earning numerous awards for both innovation and social impact.
Under Ciara’s leadership, the brand grew from a promising startup into a global business, supplying major healthcare providers and retailers across Europe and North America. Her dedication to ethical production, sustainability, and women’s well-being positioned her as a respected business leader.
Today, Ciara serves as CEO and Co-Founder of Moss, continuing her mission to build brands that merge empathy, innovation, and environmental responsibility. Her entrepreneurial journey exemplifies how purpose-driven leadership can transform industries and improve lives. Ciara remains a passionate advocate for female entrepreneurship, sustainability, and the role of customer centric design in enhancing health and humanity.
